The American Ethnologist

The American Ethnologist is an academic journal specialising in social and cultural anthropology. I worked as a research intern, assisting the editor-in-chief with research towards an upcoming issue. My work helped the editor select an area of focus for the issue.

While working for The American Ethnologist, I assisted the editor-in-chief by researching social issues of interest for an upcoming print issue. The two social issues included misinformation and states of exception. I sourced information from external sources, including databases and digital libraries, identified leading scholars and reported on my research findings.

I also helped the journal with research on keyword selection and search engine optimisation. I reviewed work from two leading scholars on each topic and identified the main arguments for their importance and effect.
